2. Emory Jr. and YKeedo – “Cool”

Last week I wrote about video director Kenneth Bell for our Visionaries issue, and here the man has gone and done it again. I don’t know Emory Jr. but he owns nice shirts and sounds good over beats that sound vaguely like the X-Files theme song. Cool.

One good way to spend your afternoon would be purchasing the new album by Little Rock’s Dead Anchors, which is available on ITunes as of Monday (the hard copy will be around on the 30th). Here is a free song that might persuade you to do so. Maybe they remind you a little of bands like Rancid, but shot through with that post-Springsteen Americana Exhaustion that some people associate with Titus Andronicus or The Hold Steady. As you’ll notice, they are great.

4. BLACK PARTY – “Hilaro Springs”
