The weather may get cold again, but the rest of January is heating up with some great food events. Have an event you’d like to see featured? Let me know at michael@arktimes.com.

*Lucie’s Place Benefit:
Okay, so this one is only kind of food related, but it’s a cause near and dear to my heart. White Water Tavern will be hosting a benefit for Lucie’s Place on Jan. 23 at 6 p.m. Only a $5 donation gets you in the door for dancing, drinking, and supporting one of the best LGBT support organizations around.

*Lost 40 Tap Takeover: Tap takeovers have been one of the best parts about our growing beer scene. Lost 40 will be owning the taps at Dugan’s Pub on Jan. 26 starting at 5 p.m

*Moody Brews Debuts at Damgoode Pies: To celebrate their collaboration, Damgoode Pies and Moody Brews are throwing a “shindig” at Damgoode’s Cantrell location from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Jan. 28. The event will feature all three current Moody Brews beers (Half Seas Over Imperial IPA, Sixes and Sevens Imperial Belgian Chocolate Porter and the Earl Grey ESB) as well as $2 slices of pizza. Should be a fun night.
