Friday night is 2FAN — 2nd Friday Art Night — and all fans of the monthly gallery walk will find paintings, watercolors, music, chocolate stout and a chance to win a box of Valentine sweets from Treatsie at the Historic Arkansas Museum. Which appeals more? Who cares?

New shows are Arkansas State University art professor John Harlan Norris‘ portraits of men (only, as far as I can tell) wrapped in (not always clear) symbols of their occupation, “Public Face,” and Little Rock artist Lisa Krannichfeld’s show is of ink and watercolor figurative works, mostly of women, “She.”

Norris is also a musician; the video above will give you some idea of the scale of his work and his musical compositions as well. Check out Krannichfeld’s video below.

The Veg-catered event, 5-8 p.m., will feature Whale Fire, a “dream pop band from Little Rock,” and stout from Stone’s Throw Brewing. Wow.
