Just wanted to give all of you a reminder about an event that I’m personally excited about: The official launch of Locally Labeled in Greater Little Rock. The Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, along with their counterparts at North Little Rock’s CVB, have put together a new program to promote all the great potent potables available in the area, and they’re throwing a party tonight for everyone who wants to come celebrate local drinkables.

From the press release: “The free, public event will feature a special performance by Little Rock’s Amasa Hines, a 7-piece band known for their psychedelic Afro-futurism sound that formed in 2010. Locally Labeled participants, including Rock Town Distillery, BoBrook Farms, An Enchanting Evening Winery, Stone’s Throw, Lost Forty Brewing, and more. Participants will have areas set up for sampling and some sales; guests must be 21 or older to attend.”

Having recently tramped around in a corn field watching Phil Brandon of Rock Town Distillery harvest his own corn to make whiskey, as well as having gotten to know others in the local drink industry over the last few years, I can say that there’s never been a more exciting time to get your buzz on in central Arkansas. Tonight’s event will be held at the River Market Pavilions from 5:30-7:30, and a good time is guaranteed for all.
