*Looking for something to do this weekend? Look no further! Bike Arkansas and El Latino are teaming up with Lost Forty Brewing, Chainwheel Bikes and Arkansas Outside to celebrate the end of this year’s cycling season with a Day of the Dead-themed party, and it’s all going down Sunday at Lost Forty. Great food, biking, contests, taco trucks…and of course BEER. The festivities start at 2 p.m.
*The World Cheese Dip Championship returns to the Rock tomorrow, October 31. Vote for your favorite dip, listen to some music, and have a great time. UPDATE: This just in—the Cheese Dip Championship has been moved to the River Market Pavilions!
*I’ve gotten word that the Marie’s Milford Track Restaurant location on Markham near Chip’s BBQ is moving out toward BMW of Little Rock in a former 10 Fitness location.
*And there’s the Arkansas Times Whole Hog Roast coming up on November 14. Tickets are available right here. I’ve been chatting with some of the teams, and I can personally promise you good food that will include such things as Kansas City-style ‘cue, Asian-inspired side dishes and one team that promises to bring “a big-ass wok.”
*Over to you—this is your Friday open line. Eaten anything good lately? I had some steamed buns from Mr. Chen’s last night that rocked my world.
