The Friends of Contemporary Craft group hold its 2nd annual Studio Tour on Saturday, April 9, with stops at two galleries and six studios. Here’s the lineup:
A reception from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at New Deal Gallery, 2001 S. Louisiana St., kicks things off. There will be wood and metalwork there.
Studios open at 10 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. with the exception of the Arkansas Repertory Theatre Scene Shop, 714 S. State St., where set designer Mike Nichols will show his craft through 1 p.m. Other participating artists and their studio locations: Natural dyes textile artist Sofia V. Gonzalez, 1117 Tyler St.; fused glass artist Patricia Holifield, 5110 Country Club Blvd.; sculptor Andy Huss, 14125 County Farm Road; jeweler Burke Johnston, 5 Sonata Trail; ceramists David and Paula Smith, 8213 Westwood Ave.; and fused glass artist and sculptor Donnell Williams, 29 Glenmere Drive.
A closing reception will be held at Boswell Mourot Fine Art, 5815 Kavanaugh Blvd., from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tour tickets are $10.
