The Samurai, at North Bar: Good bet it will be featured on "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" in October.

All the food blogs are buzzing today about The Food Network’s Guy Fieri coming to Little Rock and North Little Rock to film episodes for his “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” show. Already,

Flyway Brewing has confirmed that it won a spot on the show with its specialty pretzels. It will be part of Episode 3, “Pretzels, Pork and Pimiento Cheese”  on Oct. 19, when DDD will air Fieri’s visit to “a microbrewery servin’ up elevated pub grub like scratch pretzels and a gumbo-cheese fry mashup. Plus, a funky farm-to-table spot piling up a pimento cheeseburger and crankin’ out their own homemade brats.”

The Root Cafe is a good bet for the pimiento cheeseburger, especially since it was closed to the public yesterday for a “special event.”

Episode 4, titled “From Big Burgers to Little Italy,” to be aired Oct. 26, will feature Fieri at “a funky joint pairing their craft brews with all kinds of on-the-bun creations. Plus, two brothers putting out real deal Italian, like homemade lasagna and raviolis.” Bruno’s Little Italy is a shoe-in for the Italian place. But, hmmm. A funky buns joint? How about North Bar, which is closed today for a special event.
