“True Detective,” returning for a third season on HBO on Jan. 13, debuted a new, full-length trailer for its upcoming Mahershala Ali-starring edition. The show was created and executive produced by Nic Pizzolatto, who got his MFA from the University of Arkansas, which surely influenced his decision to set this season in the Ozarks in and around Fayetteville. North Little Rock’s Graham Gordy and David Milch (“Deadwood”) contributed writing on the episodes. Stephen Dorff, Carmen Ejogo, Scoot McNairy and Mammie Gummer co-star. Fingers crossed!
