Diane Ladd and Laura Dern Jona Frank

Thanks to the Arkansas Cinema Society, mother/daughter acting duo Diane Ladd and Laura Dern will be in Little Rock at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, to talk about their new co-written book, “Honey, Baby, Mine: A Mother and Daughter Talk Life, Death, Love (and Banana Pudding),” which was released via Grand Central Publishing in April. Jayme Lemons, an Arkansas native who founded a production company with Dern, will moderate.

The event will be held at the Performing Arts Center at the new Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, making it the first shared programming since the AMFA announced that ACS would be one of its “partner companies-in-residence.”

The price of admission is $50 and includes a copy of the book, which is made up of exchanges between Ladd and Dern, whose film and television roles are innumerable. The New York Times praised the collection of conversations for the way it captures “the origin stories, separate and intertwined, of two prolific artists who pushed through private challenges — are pushing through still — while forging lives in the public eye.”

Tickets are available here.
