If I were a Saturday Night Live cast member, I’d take the summer off.
Lucky for us, Sarah Sherman — or Sarah Squirm, the much more fitting stage name she goes by — will be spending a good chunk of her vacation between seasons on tour, and somehow Arkansas made the cut. She’ll perform at the Momentary‘s RØDE House space in Bentonville on June 8. Tickets are available here.
If you don’t know Sherman, she’s a real oddball, the kind of comedian that SNL could easily chew up and spit out as something more sanitized, and yet she’s managed to remain wonderfully weird during her three-year tenure on the late-night show.
Following the recent season finale of SNL, Sherman posted on Instagram bragging about how she got her “head chopped off twice in one season.” Honestly, I’m surprised it was only two times, given just how obsessed with good-natured-but-still-boldly-graphic body horror she seems to be.
