New local web series, 'My Favorite Guitar,' kicks off with John Willis

Here's a very promising new local web series by my friend and former colleague, Gerard Matthews. It's called "My Favorite Guitar" and the gist is as simple as the title suggests: Matthews gets local musicians to talk about their favorite guitar and then play a song with it.

Watch the blood-splattered new video for Lo Thraxx's 'Bodies'

Trigger Warning: This thing gets dark. Another new video from Lo Thraxx's long-awaited "$harkansas" mixtape, this one featuring Goon des Garcons (not rapping, just being terrifying). If, after watching this, you're wondering when you can see these guys live, then you're insane but also in luck.

New video from Cool Chris, 'OGxPurp'

Here's a good, mellow video to start your week off with, the latest from Cool Chris, who is a lonesome soul. The beat is by North Little Rock native and brilliant person IAmNawf and the clip was apparently shot by fellow beatmaker Fresco Grey. If you missed "Trap Conversations," Chris' tape from back in April, now is your chance to catch up.

New video from Goon des Garcons, 'How It Happen?'

Here's the latest clip from Little Rock's Goon des Garcons (of Young Gods of America, which they are now calling a "Creative Agency"), for "How It Happen?" off last month's "Meanwhile" EP. New video from Taylor Moon, 'Let It Go'

Little Rock's Taylor Moon, who we last posted about back in April, released a new video this afternoon, for "Let It Go," produced by Mach Soul. The clip finds her moodily loitering outside of a liquor store, brown-bagging it and barely visible in the neon — an appropriate vibe for an introspective r&b song with lyrics like "All I want to feel is nothing."

New video from Goon des Garcons, 'April 18th'

Here's a new video from YGOA and Little Rock's own Goon des Garcons, in which he mostly smokes weed, hangs out with a cool dog and warns you not to fuck with his luggage. It looks like a pretty good time, which is what I would expect from a guy who took us on a nature hike in his last visual, for "Thanks 4 Nothing."
