3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Downtown Little Rock, Arkansas State Capitol. Free.
The Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau begins its annual holiday parade at Second and Broadway Streets beginning at 3 p.m. The parade will proceed south on Broadway, turning west onto Capitol Avenue and ending at the State Capitol. A lighting and fireworks display goes up at dark.
And, if you’ve got little ones, head to the River Market Pavilion Sunday, Dec. 8, for “Rudy and Friends,” where the kiddos can take photos with Santa and “Rudy the Reindeer, take a “s-Elfie” or pen a letter to Santa (although one does wonder: If the Kringle himself is on the premises, why go the snail mail route?)
Both events are free and open to the public. See holidaysinlittlerock.com for details.
