[UPDATE: This event is no longer being held at the UA Little Rock Campus downtown. It has been moved to CALS Ron Robinson Theater.] Author and scholar Richard T. Hughes lectures on “Understanding White Supremacy: Why We Must Hear Black Voices” as part of the Central Arkansas Library System’s Rabbi Ira E. Sanders Lecture Series. After the lecture, Hughes, professor emeritus at Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif., and Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, Pa., will sign copies of his book, “Myths America Lives By: White Supremacy and the Stories That Give Us Meaning.” UA Little Rock’s Anderson Institute on Race and Ethnicity partners with CALS for the lecture.
